The following announcements are sharing the system changes and released to allow you to keep track on the changes in centralised space.

Dear Colleagues,

We are reaching out to inform you of an upcoming change to the APSpace Admin system. In our ongoing commitment to enhancing security measures and ensuring the utmost protection for our infrastructure, we are implementing Zero Trust security principles.

What's Changing?

Effective July 16, 2024, at 6:00 pm, we will begin implementing Microsoft Authentication and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for the APSpace Admin system. This additional layer of security is crucial to protect our data and systems from unauthorized access.

Why the Change?

The introduction of MFA adds a significant layer of protection against unauthorized access. This change is in line with our efforts to strengthen our security infrastructure and safeguard sensitive information.

What You Need to Do:

We understand that this is a significant change, and we appreciate your cooperation during this transition period. Please follow the step-by-step guide that will be provided to help you adapt to the new authentication process. 

Rollout Plan:

Please note that the rollout for Microsoft Authentication and MFA for other systems listed in our previous communication will continue as planned. We will provide further updates regarding the official release dates for each system in due course.

The introduction of MFA adds a significant layer of protection against unauthorized access. This change is in line with our efforts to strengthen our security infrastructure and safeguard sensitive information.

What You Need to Do:

Subject: Plan for rolling out the enhanced login security for APU systems.

 

Dear Colleagues, 

The Centre of Technology and Innovation (CTI) is continuously to enhance the security of our infrastructure to implement Zero Trust security.

In line with this, starting from next week (10th Jun 2024) , we will be implementing Microsoft Authentication and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) in stages for all APU systems, similar to our existing MFA for our Office365.

This additional layer of security will help protect our data and systems from unauthorized access. To ensure a smooth transition, The rollout of the new authentication will be caried out in stages for two months. Please stay tuned for the official release date for each system. Step-by-step video guides will be provided to demonstrates how to use the new login process with MFA for each system.

Affected Systems

The enhancement will cover the login for the following systems:

  • APSpace

  • APSpace Admin

  • Moodle

  • OBE

  • e-Forms

  • Library

  • APU E-databases

  • APQuest

  • Quix (Completed)

  • Dingdong

  • My Report Panel

  • Monthly Return

  • UniTime (Completed)
