Who Should Follow These Guidelines?
These guidelines apply to all students, staff, and external parties who use the IT/Technology Lab facilities at APU.
Steps to Request Software Installation
1. Submission Timeline
Submit your request at least 14 working days before you need the software installed. This gives us enough time to review, approve, and install the software.

Use the subject line: “New Lab Software Installation Request: [Software Name].”
In your email, include the following information:
Your name and contact details
Your school or course
A detailed description of the software, including the version number
The purpose of the software
Your preferred installation date
3. Approval Process
Once we receive your request, the IT Lab management team will review it to ensure the software meets APU Malaysia’s standards and compatibility requirements.
If we need more information or clarification, we will contact you within 5 working days.
4. Installation Process
If your request is approved, our Technical Assistants (TAs) will schedule the software installation.
We will notify you once the software has been installed.
5. Compliance and Accountability
All software installations must comply with APU’s IT policies, including licensing agreements and usage guidelines.
We will not process unauthorized software installations or requests submitted outside the specified timeframe.
6. Support and Assistance
If you have any questions or need help with the software installation request process, contact the IT Lab Help Desk:
