I would like to defer my semester/intake?
International students are not encouraged to defer their semester or intake, as this may affect visa renewal or student pass. However, if you have a valid reason with supporting documents, you may submit an Extenuating Circumstances (EC) application online, together with a parental consent letter.
Local students who wish to defer must also submit an EC application online with supporting documents and a parental consent letter. EC meetings are conducted every two weeks, and decisions can be checked through the EC online system.
Please note that a deferment fee of RM200 will be charged. If deferment is made in the middle of a semester, you will also be charged for the prorated months.
