Installation guideline for RStudio (macOS - M series)

RStudio is a powerful integrated development environment (IDE) designed for R, a programming language and statistical computing environment. RStudio facilitates seamless code development, visualization, and data analysis. Its user-friendly interface and extensive features make it a go-to platform for those working with R, enabling efficient and interactive exploration of data and creation of reproducible reports.


This guide will help you install RStudio for macOS M series.



Download RStudio

Step 1: Go to RStudio download page and click on DOWNLOAD RSTUDIO.

Step 2: Click on DOWNLOAD RSTUDIO DESKTOP FOR MACOS 12+.

Result: RStudio-2023.12.1-402.dmg will be downloaded.


Install RStudio

Step 1: Double click on RStudio-2023.12.1-402.dmg.

Step 2: Drag and drop the RStudio icon to the Applications icon.

Step 3: Double click on the RStudio icon to launch.

Step 4: Click Open.

Result: RStudio has been installed and launchec successfully.


Run RStudio

Step 1: Click on the RStudio icon in Launchpad.

Result: RStudio will launch.
