Installation guideline for R (macOS - M series)

Download R

Step 1: Go to the R download page and click on Download R for macOS.

Open

Step 2: Click on R-4.3.3.3-arm64.pkg under “For Apple Silicon (M1-3) Macs “

Open

Result: R-4.3.3.3-arm64.pkg will be downloaded.

Install R

Step 1: Double click on R-4.3.3.3-arm64.pkg.

Step 2: Click Continue.

Step 3: Click Continue.

Step 4: Click Continue.

Step 5: Click Agree.

Step 6: Click Install.

Step 7: Click Use Password or use your Touch ID.

Step 8: Type in your device’s password and click Install Software.

Step 9: Click Close.

Run R

Step 1: Click on the R icon in Launchpad.

Result: R will launch.
