APCalendar (Staff)

 

Introduction

APCalendar serves as the centralized calendar for APSpace, consolidating schedules from the Exam Scheduling System (ESS) and Moodle based on the event marking due dates. For this Phase 1, APCalendar will include selected crucial dates from the events. In future phases, we will additionally include other crucial events or activities that will be helpful for the staff.

In this initial phase, APCalendar includes the following data from ESS and Moodle:

  1. ESS events are any due items within a specific running intake, which will only include the following types:

  • Module Exam Paper Due date

  • Module Marking Due date

  • Module Moderation Due date

  1. Moodle events are any due items scheduled in the courses in Moodle, which will only include the following types:

  • Internship Report Marking Due date (14 days after submission due date in Moodle)

  • Undergraduate FYP Marking Due date (30 days after submission due date in Moodle)

  • Postgraduate Thesis/Dissertation/Project Paper Marking Due date (30 days after submission due date in Moodle)

 

Guidelines

To access APCalendar in your APSpace, kindly follow below guidelines.

Step 1 - From your Dashboard, click on the APCalendar on the tab, and you will be redirected to APCalendar page.


Step 2 - In the APCalendar page, you can make adjustments to the calendar on displays, by selecting “Day”, “Week” or “Month” segments.

a. “Day” segment displays the today’s date events.

b. “Week” segment displays the current week’s events.

  • You can also display the previous or upcoming week’s events by clicking on the ‘<' or '>’ button, respectively.

 

c. “Month” segment displays your monthly events.

  • You can also display events on specific date within previous 4 weeks by clicking on any dates prior to 4 weeks from today’s date.

  • Additionally, you can display events on specific date within upcoming 4 weeks by clicking on any dates within the upcoming 4 weeks from today's date.

 

Step 3 - For each displayed event, you can click onto it to display a dialog of the selected event.
