Autodesk Maya is a powerful 3D computer graphics software widely utilized in the film, television, and gaming industries. This guide is to install Autodesk Maya for macOS M1/M2 chip.



Create Autodesk account

Step 1: Go to Autodesk Registration Portal and fill in the fields below

First name, Last name:

Your first and last name

Email:

Your TP mail account e.g “tpxxxxxx@mail.apu.edu.my

Confirm email:

Type your TP mail again for confirmation

Password:

A strong password of your choice

Step 2: Click on the box to agree to the Autodesk Terms of Use and the Privacy Statement then click on Create account.

Step 3: An email will be sent to your TP mail account, click on Verify email.

Step 4: Click Done.


Download Autodesk Maya

Step 1: Go to download page. Look for “Maya” and click on Get product.

Step 2: Click Download.

Result: Autodesk_Maya_2024_2_Update_macOS.dmg will be downloaded.


Install Autodesk Maya

Step 1: Double click on Autodesk_Maya_2024_2_Update_macOS.dmg.

Step 2: Click on Install Maya 2024

Step 3: Click Open.

Step 4: Click OK.

Step 5: Enter your device’s password and click OK.

Step 6: Click on I agree to the Terms of Use and click Next.

Step 7: Click Next.

Step 8: Click Install.

Step 9: Wait for it to install.

Step 10: Click Start.

Result:


Run Autodesk Maya

Step 1: Click on Maya in Launchpad.

Result: Maya 2024 will launch.
