Easy Guide to Connect Your Windows Device to Staff@APU 3.0

Welcome to the upgraded Staff@APU Wi-Fi service! We've enhanced our network to offer you a more secure and streamlined experience. This guide is designed to help staff members effortlessly connect their Windows OS devices to our new Wi-Fi service. The process is compatible across all major operating systems and emphasizes user-friendly steps.

Step 1: Initial Temporary Wi-Fi Connection

1. Enable Wi-Fi on your Windows device.

2. Connect to the "Onboard@APU" Wi-Fi network..

Step 2: APKey Authentication

1. Open any browser and navigate to https://onboard.apiit.edu.my.

2. Click on "Accept & Proceed".

Step 3: Login with APKey

If prompted, log in using your APKey credentials

Step 4: Downloading Required Software

After successful authentication, a page will be displayed featuring two buttons: "Download .exe for Windows" and "Download for Windows." To initiate the download, click on the "Download .exe for Windows" button. If you encounter any issues in downloading the .exe file, opt for the second button, "Download for Windows," to download a zip file. This compressed file should be extracted after the download is complete.

Step 5: Installation Preparation

Depending on your browser (Microsoft Edge, Chrome, or Mozilla Firefox), a download window will appear. Download the installation file.

Step 6: Running the Connection Setup

1. Launch the downloaded installation file.

2. If a message appears saying ‘SmartScreen can’t be reached right now’, select “Run”.

Step 7: Automatic Wi-Fi Configuration

The Cloudpath application will begin configuring your Wi-Fi settings automatically after installation.

Step 8: Finalizing Connection

1. Once installation is complete, your device will connect to "Staff@APU 3.0" and you will be redirected to apu.edu.my.

Check the Wi-Fi tray icon to ensure you're connected to "Staff@APU 3.0" and not Onboard@APU.
