Installation Guideline for VMware Horizon Client V8.9 (Windows 11)

VMware Horizon Client is a software that allows users to connect their device to virtual machines, desktop remotely & wirelessly. The whole purpose of this software is to ease the process of accessing and retrieving information from other systems without interacting directly with it. This guideline shows the installation process of VMware Horizon Client V8.9 for Windows 11.

Installation Video

Download VMware Horizon Client

Step 1: Head to download page. Select 2303. Then click DOWNLOAD NOW.

Step 2: Click Save.

Result: Let it download.

Install VMware Horizon Client

Step 1: Launch “VMware-Horizon-Client” file.

Step 2: Click Agree & Install.

Step 3: Click Finish.

Step 4: Click Restart Now.

Run VMware Horizon Client

Step 1: Launch VMware Horizon Client.

Step 2: Click Add Server.

Step 3: Input “virtuallab.apu.edu.my”. Then click Connect.

Step 4: Input your “TPNUM” and “Password”. Then click Login.

Step 5: Launch VirtualLab Windows 10.

Step 6: If you are welcomed with this message, click Try Again after a while until it works.

The desktops are not always available or they are currently in use, so it is necessary to retry after a period of time until it works. You will know when it works once it directs you to the Windows Login Screen.

Result: Virtuallab@APU successfully connected.
