You can now mark the attendance of students from APSpace, using intelligent self-service classroom attendance system called Attendix. This is a guide to mark attendance on Attendix using APSpace.

Step 1- Log in to APSpace Web – https://apspace.apu.edu.my/, with your APKey credentials.

Step 2- Click on Timetable from the bottom of the page.

Step 3- Click on MARK ATTENDANCE from top-right corner of the page.

Step 4- Make sure to switch off AUTO mode from the top-right corner.

Step 5- Now enter the following five (5) details – Class Code, Date, Start Time, End Time, and Class Type. After you have entered all the details, click on MARK / EDIT ATTENDANCE.

Step 6- You will be redirected to a page, which shows the QR Code and 3 digit OTP (One Time Password) for students to sign for attendance. The QR Code and OTP refreshes every thirty (30) seconds. The attendance will be taken automatically as soon as the student scans the QR code or enters the OTP. On this page, you can add notes under Lecture Updates text field and also see the last five (5) students marked present signed for attendance. You have successfully taken attendance.

If students are using QR code to sign for attendance then, please advise students to use APSpace Mobile built-in QR code scanner to sign for attendance. If they are using APSpace Web (https://apspace.apu.edu.my/), they will be redirected to enter OTP to sign for attendance. |

You can take attendance of class manually, by switch off AUTO mode from the top-right corner of the QR Code page. You will be redirected to a list of attendees page to be marked – Present, Late, Absent.

Step 1- In https://apspace.apu.edu.my/attendix/classes switch on AUTO mode on the top-right corner, the list of selection should be narrowed to the available attendance as you enter details and next click Mark / Edit Attendance.

Step 2- At the top right corner there is a red DELETE button, use that to delete the unwanted class attendance, it works for classes in the past 30 days. You can also edit students' attendance.
